Compound Labs Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) Powder for Dogs

Natural support for pain & inflammation

When your dog is dealing with chronic discomfort  - stiff joints, nerve pain, itchy skin, or ongoing inflammation – you want gentle, effective support that works alongside their body's natural processes.

That's exactly what PEA does.

Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a naturally occurring fatty acid amide that your dog's body already produces in response to stress and injury. Sometimes, though, the body needs extra support to meet demand. That's where supplementation comes in.

What PEA may help with

  • Joint & mobility support: stiffness, muscle tension, and osteoarthritis-related pain, back discomfort.
  • Nerve pain and neurological support: neuropathic pain, nerve function, neurological conditions.
  • Skin health & allergy support: itching, inflammation, skin lesions, allergic responses.
  • Bladder & urinary tract health: cystitis, chronic urinary tract issues.
  • General comfort & recovery: supports normal muscle and nerve function for daily activities.

How PEA works

PEA works at a cellular level to help regulate pain and inflammation. It's not masking symptoms – it's supporting your dog's natural pain-resolution processes. Think of it as helping the body do what it's already designed to do, just more effectively.

Your dog's body naturally produces PEA in response to trauma and inflammation, but during chronic conditions, supplementation may provide additional support that the body can't produce on its own.

Common questions

Is this micronised PEA?

This PEA is not micronised, but the particle size (91% less than 10 μm) is comparable to micronised formulations (95% less than 10 μm).

For oral supplementation, there is minimal to no difference in effectiveness between micronised and non-micronised PEA at these particle sizes. Micronisation primarily affects topical absorption in creams, not oral bioavailability.

Can I use this with other supplements or medications?

Yes. PEA has no known interactions with other supplements or medications, making it safe to add to your dog's existing regime. Always consult your vet if you have specific concerns.

How long can my dog take PEA?

PEA is safe for long-term use. Many dogs benefit from ongoing supplementation for chronic conditions, while others use it during acute flare-ups.
