Why Canine Massage?

Massage can help to:

  • improve flexibility and range of motion,
  • reduce pain and inflammation,
  • improve nerve and muscle function,
  • reduce muscle tension,
  • improve muscle tone,
  • reduce scarring and swelling,
  • improve circulation and lymphatic drainage,
  • reduce stress and anxiety,
  • promote relaxation and improve sleep quality.

Canine massage is a safe and effective way to improve your dog's overall health and well-being. It is also a great way to help dogs who are sensitive to handling become more comfortable with the process in a relaxed manner.

All massages are carried out on the floor, or wherever your dog is comfortable. I do not use a table.

As a Fear Free and Low-Stress Handling certified dog trainer and massage therapist I work at your dog's pace to gain their trust and participation in the process. They are encouraged to take breaks if they need to, and then come back if/when they are ready. Because of this appointments may not stick exactly to time; some may run slightly shorter and some may go slightly over.

Why Canine Fitness?

A carefully crafted fitness and conditioning program will:

  • teach puppies how to move their body and navigate their surroundings, giving them confidence as they learn,
  • prepare sports and working dogs for their demanding careers
  • keep senior dogs in their physical and mental prime
  • reduce the risk of injury
  • improve muscle tone and function
  • ensure they maintain muscle strength and flexibility
  • assist with weight loss and weight management
  • provide both physical and mental stimulation
  • build confidence, reduce anxiety and improve their quality of life.
