On the Road with Your Whole Dog

Did you know … I offer mobile, in-home support for dogs (and their people) across the Wellington region?

There are many things I love about my work, and one is getting to meet dogs where they’re most comfortable. And that’s usually in their own home. Whether I’m offering behaviour support, or mobility and massage sessions, being in your dog’s real-life environment makes a difference. It's where they spend the most time. It’s where they live, move, rest, and play. And when I come to you, I get to see it all - the whole picture - so I can help in ways that really fit your life.

Many of the dogs I see for bodywork and mobility support are seniors, or navigating long-term physical challenges. They may not be able to head out for big walks or rough-and-tumble play anymore. But, that doesn’t mean their days can’t be interesting and full. When we do it right, massage and movement become an integral part of a dog’s enrichment. It’s all about creating opportunities that meet their needs in safe, supportive, and species-appropriate ways.

In-home visits also mean we can look at your dog’s environment and explore simple changes that make daily life easier. That might include rearranging furniture to support mobility, choosing enrichment activities that are doable and rewarding, and figuring out a routine that works for both ends of the leash.

Sure, offering a mobile service means I spend a lot of time on the road. But honestly, I don’t mind. I get to travel through beautiful parts of the region, visit dogs from all walks of life, and enjoy the occasional bonus. Like a sunny coastal view and an excellent coffee.

And yes, if you cringed at the sight of a single-use coffee cup in the photo… same 🤦.

I usually carry a reusable one (seriously!), but when I lapse, the cup doesn’t go to waste. Around here, it becomes a snuffle puzzle, a shredding toy, or a prop for muzzle training. Just another tool in the enrichment kit!

Offering in-home support means I can help dogs where it counts. Whether it’s building confidence in a nervous pup, helping a senior dog stay mobile and comfortable, or giving you fresh ideas to support your dog’s physical and emotional wellbeing, I’ll come to you.

If you're in the Wellington region and looking for support, let’s chat.
